hop, skip, and a jump

I've referred to our house as being on the edge of the Indy 500. A bazillion commuters start zinging by at 6am. Huge trucks going way too fast. Bear, who's not big on freaking out, freaks out on me when I walk on the road for anything ... anyway, someone died in front of our house today. A trucker tipped his rig and he's under it. This saddens me in so many ways.

People, please slow down. You do want to get where you're going, yes?

Ohhh, that's not so good to hear. That must be pretty emotional to have something like that happen, especially in front of your house.

...

But isn't that why you have a cemetary in your backyard?

Ohhhh, that was SO not nice! Uncle Cracker "made" me type that one - death humor and all.

Start tossing your old glass bottles out in front of you street. Sounds like you could use a homemade road spikes.

I am sorry y'all are experiencing that, Nita-both in terms of the day to day, and the specifics of the accident yesterday.

I hope today is imbued with a feeling of beauty and grace, and not frustration and tension and calamity.

Sometimes I suspect that everyone is just driving around in circles, and ending up right where they began.

Oh no. How very sad.
You know driving on 95 and Rt.10 daily has me in tears at some point during the day...there is always someone flipped over or crushed. All the markers on the side and middle of the highway where someone has died....so very very sad.
